Guided Hikes
I have done uncounted hikes here, and many of them I have revisited in different seasons. The more I know a trail the more I discover unexpected delights.
Bring your own backpack, trekking stick(s), water and picnic; sunscreen and hat for sunny weather; layered clothing is advisable; good boots with ankle support are a must, as there are hardly any places here that aren’t rocky.
We can review your preferences for duration, difficulty level, type of terrain, and points of interest. Almost any itinerary will involve the better part of a day, even if it is a short hike: drive time to & from trailhead, trail time, and time to visit special features or monuments. Have a look at the Hiking page to familiarize yourself with the possibilities.
If you have read about the Romanesque churches on this website, I have paired hiking itineraries with each of these gems.
If you are planning a stay at the Buckeye and are interested in a hike, please contact me for rates. Greater advance notice increases the chance that I will be available on the date you prefer. Note however that, in terms of weather, it is ideal to have a flexible window of possible dates.
I look forward to hearing from you!
